The capable and highly skilled individual we need to join us on this exciting journey is a Team Member: Account Maintenance in the Standard Operations area.
SARS is looking for a skilled and experienced Team Member: Account Maintenance with background of various account management knowledge and experience and/or knowledge of the tax systems and processes.
The successful candidate should be able to apply practical knowledge and act authoritatively on account maintenance of taxpayers, systems, and procedures. Furthermore, the successful candidate should be able to work independently. He/she must be able to effectively plan and schedule own activities to continuously improve quality and service delivery in Account Maintenance.
The Team Member: Account Maintenance will report to the Ops Manager: Account Maintenance based in Bloemfontein. He/she must have strong attention to detail, time management, planning and organising skills.
Do you have tax and account management knowledge and experience, with strong administrative skills? Are you able to work well under pressure and are target driven? Having a sound background of SARS processes and systems will be a significant advantage. Job Purpose
To ensure correctness and accuracy of taxpayer’s accounts, balances and payments across all tax types to provide fast, accurate and consistent service at the minimum cost.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
Relevant Higher Certificate (NQF 5) AND 2 years’ experience in a SARS tax environment.
Alternatively,
Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 3 years’ experience in a SARS tax environment.

- Investigate taxpayer accounts on the SARS core systems in order to ensure correctness of accounts, thereby enhancing service delivery.
